I think the reason Romeo’s been rushing to save and guard Lucy in this past story arc is not just because she’s a precious nakama, but also because she’s important to Natsu. Romeo looks up to Natsu and I think, because Natsu saved his Dad (his most important person) when he couldn’t, he wants to step in and watch out for one of Natsu’s important persons when he can’t. I mean, Michelle is basically helpless, but Romeo jumps in to help Lucy more.
